Visa Requirements For Lebanese Citizens

As a third world country, Lebanon doesn’t have a very strong visa. Thus, to travel Lebanese citizens must obey the law and follow several visa requirements.  

Visa policy of Lebanon 

As of 4 April 2020, Lebanese citizens visa-free or visa on arrival access to 53 sovereign countries and territories. Thus, the Lebanese passport ranks,  according to the Henley Passport Index,  79th in terms of travel freedom. Hence Lebanese citizens enjoy the same aspects of travel freedom as  Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Kosovo. 

Countries Lebanese Can Visit Without A Visa 

Though only 14 countries around the world don’t require any Lebanese visa, the rest offer a visa on arrival without having the traveler do a lot of work to obtain it before departing their home country. 

1. Dominica 

Lebanese are allowed to stay in Dominica for  21 days within 180 days without any visa. Moreover, The allowed stay can be extendable to 3 months within 6 months for a fee. Also, All visitors are fingerprinted upon entry and are subjected to Departure tax upon leaving. 

2. Ecuador 

With no required visa whatsoever, Lebanese citizens can stay in the country for 90 days within 180 days. Moreover, extending the stay is possible for a current fee. 

3. Egypt 

Lebanese can visit Egypt with no visa on some certain conditions, such as: 

-Lebanese travelers arriving at Borg El Arab Airport in Alexandria, Hurghada Airport, or Sharm El Sheikh Airport for South Sinai resorts on a charter flight. 

– Traveling as part of a tourist group that is made up of at least 10 persons with a return ticket, booked accommodation, and a signed guarantee letter from a travel agency. 

– travelers are the sons and daughters of the citizens of Egypt. 

-travelers are under the age of 16 or over the age of 50. 

Furthermore, The overall allowed stay there is 90 days within 180 days. 

4. Haiti 

With no required visa, Lebanese are free to stay in Haiti for 3 months within 6 months. The stay duration is extendable for certain fees. 

5. Georgia 

Lebanese citizens get to stay in Georgia for a whole year without requiring any form of visa. However, it is mandatory to have medical insurance for the full duration of the intended stay. 

6. Indonesia 

Lebanese visitors can stay in Indonesia for 30 days within 180 days, though they can’t extend their stay. However, this doesn’t apply to journalists who will have to obtain a visa beforehand. 

7. Jordan 

The country allows Lebanese citizens with no visa to stay for 3 months within 6 months. However, The visa-free facility is not applicable to holders of emergency or temporary passports. Moreover, visitors can use their national id card and the Iris scan is usually taken upon entry and departure of the country. 

8. Iran 

With no visa requirement, Lebanese citizens can stay in Iran for 30 days within 180 days with an extension possible for a certain fee. However, registration with the local police is considered mandatory within 8 days of arrival. 

9. Macau 

Macau doesn’t require a visa from Lebanese citizens for a stay duration of 90 days within 180 days. This duration is extendable for a certain amount of fees. Moreover, holders of a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card can stay in the country for an entire year. 

10. Malaysia 

With no visa requirement, visitors can stay there 90 days within 180 days. For a certain fee, the duration can be extended twice, for 30 days each. Moreover, All visitors are fingerprinted upon entry and exit. The government also requires visitors to hold at least $100 per day as proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay. 

11. Micronesia 

The stay duration is 30 days Within 180 days and it is extendable up to 60 days for a fee. Moreover, although the country requires no visa for entry, departure tax still applies when leaving it. 

12. Qatar 

Visiting Qatar usually doesn’t need a visa however on the rare occasion it is,  the visa is issued free of charge. Also,  the allowed stay is 30 days per trip with no extension policies. 

13. Syria 

Lebanese citizens are free to roam Syria for  6 months within 1 year. They can use their id cards inside Syria. Moreover, visitors may be subjected to departure taxes. 

14. Turkey 

With no visa policy, visitors can stay in the country for 90 days within 180 days. Moreover, Turkey doesn’t provide any extension policies. 

Countries That Offer Visa on Arrival 

Though the following countries do require a visa, acquiring it is not a hard process and visitors can get them upon the arrival to these countries: 

1. Armenia 

Visitors can stay for 120 days within 1 year. 

2. Cambodia 

Visitors can stay for 30 days per trip. However, the duration is extendable up to 12 months for a certain fee. 

3. Cape Verde 

Visitors can stay for  90 days within 180 days. Moreover, they should be able to supply an International Certificate of Vaccination. 

4. Comoros 

Visitors can only stay for 2 weeks per each trip. 

5. Guinea-Bissau 

Visitors are allowed to stay for 90 days within 180 days. 

6. Laos 

Travelers are allowed to stay for a duration of  30 days. Moreover, Visa can be issued at either Luang Prabang, Pakse, or Vientiane Airports. 

7. Madagascar 

The allowed stay is 90 days within 180 days. However, it can be exciting up to 60 days for a fee. 

8. Mauritania 

Visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 3, 15, 30, 90, or 360 days per trip. Thus, fees vary accordingly.  

9. Mauritius 

For tourism purposes, visitors are granted a visa that allows them to stay for 60 days within 120. As for business purposes, visitors can stay 60 days within 180 days. both durations can be extended for a certain fee. 

10. Mozambique 

Visitors are allowed to stay for 30 days per trip. However. The duration is extendable to up to 90 days for a fee. 

11. Nepal 

The allowed stay is 90 days within 180 days. Duration is extendable for a fee. However, the visa-on-arrival facility is not applicable to holders of temporary passports. Hence, they should obtain a visa before entering the country.  

12. Palau 

Visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 30 days per trip though the duration is extendable. 

13. Rwanda 

Visitors can stay for 30 days per trip. The duration can be extendable after paying certain fees. Moreover, the entry requires submitting an International Certificate of Vaccination. 

14. Samoa 

Visitors are allowed to stay in the country 60 days per trip. The duration can be extended by a month for certain fees. 

15. Senegal 

Visitors are allowed to stay in the country 30 days per trip. They also are required to submit the International Certificate of Vaccination upon entry. 

16. Seychelles 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country  3 months within 6 months. The duration can be extendable though for certain fees. 

17. Sierra Leone 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 30 days. However, an International Certificate of Vaccination is required for entering it.  

18. Somalia 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 30 days. 

19. Sri Lanka 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 45 days per trip. However, the duration can be extended up to 150 days for a fee. 

20. Tajikistan 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 45 days per trip. Moreover, this duration is extendable to up to 60 days for a fee. 

21. Timor-Leste 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 30 days per trip. However, the duration can be extended up to 90 days for a fee of $75. 

22. Togo 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 7 days per trip. Though this duration is of course extendable up to 90 days for a fee. 

23. Tuvalu 

The allowed stay is 1 month per trip which is extendable up to 3 months within 6 months for a fee. 

24. Uganda 

visitors are allowed to stay in the country for 3 or 6 months per trip. Moreover, this duration is extendable for a fee. Also submitting an international Certificate of Vaccination is mandatory.
