On same day, another big game was taking place at Michael Murr stadium, where Sagesse won over Champville [87-77]. The four quarters scoring came like this: 27-17, 21-25, 16-14, and 23-20.
Dragan Raca started the first quarter with the regular starters Paul Khoury, Fady Khatib, Kenny Satterfield, Jerod Ward and Elie Mechantaf; and Ghassan Sarkis started with Lorenzo Hall, Mike Chappel, Brian Bshara, Sabah Khoury and Rodrigue Aakel. Both teams were fighting to lead the game but Sagesse with the man to man defense was able to control the first quarter and start the second quarter with 10 points difference 27-17. Many fouls were committed, and Dragan Raca was forced to change Paul Khoury with Bassem Balaa, because of his three fouls; as well as chapel with Amouri on Champville side.
With the beginning of the second quarter, Champville became a threat on Sagesse especially when they used men to men defense on both Ward and Khatib. This defense was successful on Ward, however, the Tiger was able to penetrate and score many time. Champville managed to reduce the score to 4 points’ difference but the 2nd quarter ended with a 6pt lead to Sagesse (48-42).
