Two Lebanese citizens – an investor and an architect – were among passengers on a commercial airplane which crashed near the Lagos airport in Nigeria Sunday.

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour identified the victims as Nadine Chediac, an architect whose father is Lebanese and mother Nigerian, and investor Roger Awad, who hails from the Chouf, Mount Lebanon.

Mansour said preparations were under way to return their bodies, although he was not certain that Chediac -who hails from the northern Akkar province - would be buried in Lebanon given his mother’s origin.

A passenger plane crashed into a densely populated part of Lagos, Nigeria's commercial hub, on Sunday, killing all 153 people aboard.

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has declared three days of national mourning and promised a full investigation into the crash.
